UNIT ITALY? Mial

Land Social

Just hours after celebrating the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy takes us doubt. Is it worth it? There is truly something to celebrate? I doubt there are legitimate and not because we will have some sympathy for the Northern League and its spawning secessionist. Quite the contrary.
Gramsci had already noticed that our Risorgimento was a process driven by forces more moderate and conservative. The outcome of this process was the marginalization of the masses, poorer, rural ones, and particularly in the South until after World War II. In some ways, and continue in other forms to suffer the same disease even today.
The South paid the annexation to Piedmont with the migration of hunger and savage repression of brigandage. The patriotic rhetoric can not hide these facts with the waving of the Tricolor.
Yet there was something else. There were the glorious pages written by the people of Milan in Five Days of Milan: an insurgency that could drive the Austrian army and moved the whole of Europe, arousing the enthusiasm of Marx and Engels. There was the Roman Republic and its heroic resistance to the clerical domination supported by French bayonets. There was the noble and generous figure of Garibaldi, whose name alone (though not without limits) was sufficient to arouse enthusiasm among the masses of illiterate and poor throughout the Peninsula. There were many volunteers (and disappointed) in the red shirt. There was the purest of the sacrifice of our heroes, Comrade Carlo Pisacane an Italy which advocated freedom and socialism.
All these examples have formed fragments of light in the darkness of history, oppression of workers who continued to practice even though he was no longer a foreign king. After so many years, these sacrifices, these figures, these aspirations have been recovered in the middle of the Resistance to Nazism. Just think of the Garibaldi Brigades, just think of the conquest of freedom present, nevertheless, in our Constitution.
E 'right So say yes to the initial application and remember and honor our Risorgimento and our martyrs. But it is also important to ask who is now the heir of this best part of our history. Before the show literally obscene
of Berlusconi's right in front of social selfishness of the Northern League, one has to say out loud that the future and the unity of this country depends unit of its employees who were born or less within the confines .
National unity is based on your class .
Viva Italy free, united, egalitarian Pisacane who dreamed of!
